Types Of Solar Pump

Solar-powered water pumps work by converting the sun's rays (photons) to electricity that will operate the water pump. It uses solar panels to collect the photons (units of light) from sunlight, producing the direct current (DC) that provides the energy for the motor to pump water out from its source.
There are three types of solar pumps:
1. Solar submersible pump.
2. Solar open-well pump.
3. Solar mono-block pump.
SOLAR SUBMERSIBLE PUMP
A solar submersible pump system is a type of water pump that is powered by solar energy and is designed to operate while submerged underwater.
It consists of a submersible pump, solar panels, a controller, and a battery backup.
Submersible solar water pumps can be used for a variety of applications, such as:
- Irrigation: Submersible solar water pumps can pump water from a well or a borehole and provide a reliable and cost-effective water source for irrigation.
- Drinking Water: Submersible solar water pumps can extract water from depths such as wells or boreholes, offering a trusted and safe drinking water source for both families and larger communities.
- Livestock: These can be used to provide a reliable water source for livestock.
- Aquaculture: Submersible solar water pumps can be used to pump water in fish ponds and other aquaculture applications, providing a reliable and cost-effective water source for fish and aquatic plants.
- Fountains and Waterfalls: Submersible solar water pumps can be used to create beautiful fountains and waterfalls in parks, gardens, and other outdoor spaces.
- Flood Control: Submersible solar water pumps can be used for flood control, as they can pump water from flooded areas and redirect it to safer locations.
SOLAR OPEN WELL PUMP
Open-well submersible pumps are used when the applications will face a frequent changes in water levels. It can be dropped and fitted to the bottom of an open well or sump pump, which gives it an advantage over traditional centrifugal pumps.
Open-well submersible pumps find their application in:
- Irrigation and gardening.
- Underground reservoirs/tanks in bungalows and apartments, sprinklers and fountains.
- Hospitals, hostels, swimming pools, commercial complexes and hotels
SOLAR MONO-BLOCK PUMP
A mono-block pump is an end suction pump that consists of a partially opened or closed impeller. It is a horizontal single-segment pump wherein all the revolving parts are fitted on a single shaft. Unlike couplings and belt drives, mono-block pumps have the unique feature of eliminating losses.
APPLICATION-
Some common applications where mono-block pumps are used: cooling water circulation systems, domestic water supply, irrigation, etc.
